Current Activities

The IC Student Council will be selling Bosco System wristbands. The blue and white wristbands are $1.00 and will available while supplies last.

We had several students and parents from IC as well as workers from our Partners In Education, Bertch Cabinet, volunteering their services at the NE Iowa Food bank on Nov. 1st. The students, parents and Bertch employees helped stock shelves.

We are currently having a pop tab contest for K-8 students. The pop tabs benefit the Ronald McDonald House. The Ronald McDonald House provides housing for families of children who are hospitalized. The next meeting for Student Council will be the first Monday in Dec. and will include a new group of students.

All students interested in being a student council member are invited to join. We had 60 students express interest in serving on the student council. Students are divided into 4 groups of 15 students who serve for two months.

The following students are signed up to serve on the Student Council for the months of December and January:  Andrew Arthur; Baylee Rhoads; Brandi Even; Peter Jones; Stephanie Jones; Dylan Even; Mitchell Stover; Alex Voigt; Austin Carpenter; Sydney Stover; Katy Schroeder; Victoria Corkery; Kindra Welter; Trever Brown; and Madison Smith. 

This month we are having a "Mitten Tree" displayed in the front entrance of the IC building.  We are asking for donations of gently used or brand new hats, mittens, gloves, and scarves.  This drive will go from December 8-23, 2008. The items will be donated to the Salvation Army.  We also are continuing to sell the Don Bosco wristbands.  The wristbands are blue and white and sell for $1.00.  We hope to encourage everyone to do acts of caring as that is the theme for the month of December and Character Counts.
